On the western side of the island, at a distance of 1800 metres from the city centre of Thassos and hardly 1000 metres from the ferry boat marina, lays TARSANAS, a group of individual studio apartments built by the sea on a large private expand of green turf and thick trees. Each apartment has an individual large balcony facing the sea, as well as its own cooker, refrigerator, wireless internet, en-suite shower and WC, air-conditioner, television, safe deposit box and hair dryer. The hotel’s large private garden is laid with thick turf and includes a playground where children can play safely. At the far end of the estate, built literally on the beach and isolated from the rest of the apartments, there are three bungalows each having twin beds and television, as well as kitchen and en-suite facilities.

The TARSANAS group includes also a restaurant, bar and tavern built under the trees and by the sea, serving a huge variety of food, cooked and grilled on charcoal. The restaurant always serves fresh seafood of all kinds, such as prawns, lobsters, crawfish, calamari, mussels, as well as specialty fish soups prepared on order. However, the TARSANAS restaurant is particularly well-known for its sun-dried, charcoal roasted octopus, the sun-burnt mackerel and the stuffed squid, grilled on charcoal.

The fabulous TARSANAS beach bar is the group’s gem and it’s located next to the sea on the sandy beach at the back of the estate, hidden in thick pine trees whose roots reach the sea. The bar serves drinks and cocktails from all over the world, as well as draught barrel beer served in frozen glasses, all within a backdrop of sweet, specially chosen music which is always harmonised with the environment and the hour.

The TARSANAS estate is located in the middle of what could be accurately described as an earthly paradise: a fest of magical sunsets, thick pine tree woods and calm, inviting seas.
